My mom created an irrevocable trust for me but I never got a copy of the trust. I am the trustee. My mom died 10 years ago. My family briefly met with the lawyer about my mom's estate after she died, but the executor decided to hire another lawyer. The executor partially paid the lawyer for their time.
Since I never got a copy of the trust, I requested a copy from the lawyer, but the lawyer will not give me a copy unless I pay the outstanding fee plus interest for the last 10 years. Am I responsible for paying this? Can the lawyer withhold a copy of the trust from me?
