My question involves real estate located in the State of: Michigan.
We signed a land contract on March 26, 2015, as joint tenants with survivorship rights.
My roommate (ex-boyfriend) moved out on June 30th, 2017, and had signed a lease at an apartment complex down the road. I informed the owner of the house about his actions and they are unsure if they want to do anything about it. They had ended up moving because of domestic violence charges against them. They have not paid anything on the $600 house payment since they moved out. Additionally they never changed the water bill over to me so their name is on that as well. I am currently in the process of filing a PPO order against them because I cannot take the years of emotional abuse that he has done to me and my children. Now he is threatening to move back in to make our lives miserable.
Do I have to let him back into the house even though he hasn't paid a single dime towards the house payment since he moved out?
