My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Louisiana
So here's my question my old roommates that I lived with was in charge of paying the bills I had the gas and electricity I'm my name there I paid 600 a month as I'm on ssi and they were to pay the bills about 6 month after we moved and I found out they weren't paying the bills so I'm left with a $1000 electric bills and a $600 gas bill we have a verbal agreement nothing on paper I'm also not on either lease i have tried many of time to get them to pay or help but they refused or didn't write back what is my legal opinions to this as I'm soon to be married and want to move into my own place with my fiancé but these bills are a big problem
