My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: NY
I purchased a food processor at Sears in June. I did not try to use it until this past weekend and discovered it does not work. Sears return policy states that they will only accept returns if the purchase is made within the past 30 days. I called the store to ask if they will refund me since the item is defective and they told me no since it is past the 30 days since purchase. Since the item is defective, does the return policy still apply in this situation? Thanks!
