Other Issues: Is There a Faster Way to Get an Unmarried Daughter(21+) As a Permanent Resident

Hello everyone!

We need your help! We are trying to find a way to expedite my sister’s migration to the United States. She has aged out the original petition.

My sister was born on December 16, 1988 in the Philippines and the following are the details of her case:

In 1982, our father, still single by this time, was petitioned by our grand mother to come to the US and this was approved on December 28, 1982 under the F1 category.

However, while his visa is being processed, our father married our mother so they had to change the petition to a married son (Category F31) thus extending the processing time and requires a new approval notice. The approval notice for this petition is dated January 12, 1994 and gave us the priority date of October 28, 1993.

On December 3, 2015, we received a letter for me and my parents to further process our visa application (interview, medical, & etc) without my sister’s name on it. After processing, our visas were issued last February 17, 2016. The three of us are now in the United States, leaving my sister in the Philippines.

Are there any legal ways beside fiancee visa to help her go to the united states faster than the normal way (which usually takes more or less 10 years) of petitioning an unmarried daughter (over 21) ?

Thank you in advance.
