Retail Fraud / Shoplifting: Arrested and Convicted Based Upon False Testimony of Store Employees

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Alabama.
I purchased an item on clearance at WalMart which had several prices on it. At checkout it rang higher that I thought so I declined to purchase it but the manager came over and over rang the register and bagged it for me. I thought it was odd but I just paid and started to leave. The same manager stopped me and said I had to go with him. In his office he asked for the item I bought and the receipt only to return with aa cash refund moments later. As I was about to leave a cop showed up and arrested me...I was shocked.

In reading the arrest report the cop says; "responded to shoplifting call.....and by video was confirmed." I take that to mean I was called about a criminal act and I did not see the act as alleged but after viewing video evidence I have concluded that the suspect did complete a criminal act and will be arrested. He also failed to sign next to the space that says "UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY..." I thought without a signature it was invalid? During the testimony given in court the officer admitted that he did not watch a video of a suspect shoplifting . The manager went on to say no such video exist...they video provided at trial was of me paying cash at checkout. HOW IS THIS NOT FALSE ARREST AS HE BASED HIS ARREST UPON A LIE?
