My question involves stepparent adoption/paternal rights taken away, My wife and I are wanting advice on how to go about myself adopting my two stepchildren, then father hasnt been there at all, he has a long criminal record including indecent child liberties, child sexual abuse, and has been on the sex offender registry, does he still have rights, and will it be possible for me the stepfather to adopt with all of these records. I know he wouldnt give up his rights if he has any because thats how he is. the children are about to be 4 in december. For the safety of my stepchildren he needs no rights no visitation or anything, also considering the fact that he raped my wife, and she somewhat terrifed of him!
