My question involves a child custody case from the State of: NYC
The other day I explained to her that I do not pay child support because shes always taking me to court. I offered her multiple time to meet in person to discuss payments as well and she has refused. She dont want to remove childsupport as I asked her because she said that if I dont pay through the system neither out. Shes taking me to court to increase child support but my income has not increased and the judge explained that she needed to demonstrate this. It looks like she gave up and decided to drop the case. Im behind $1k in child support but she said she wont take me for violation as well. I explained to her that Im appealing the divorce because I want joint custody to have responsibilities with my child. She laugh and said that im willing to pay lawyers dna for a child is not mine but not child support. The other day I offered to my son some shoes but he misbehave and I have to show him that he has to earn it. She got upset because of this as well telling me how irresponsible I am that those are things my child needs such as eating not gifts. I just want to show my child values that everything is not money as she have shown him. Like Im a bank.
This was her message:
Once the dna results are in, this court circus is done. In regards to our child, whenever you want or feel like you can buy him clothes or pay childsupport. You know that he never needed you, neither now. Once he grows up, you’ll explain to him that you was irresponsible because I refused to see you in person before enforcing your responsibilities. Just remember what you do today comes back to you tomorrow. I hope that we this you stop with the meet you in person and leave our family alone.
