My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
On a retail theft case the accused was cuffed and booked, his rental vehicle towed and searched for evidence on the case (allegedly stolen goods potentially within). Also in the vehicle were personal items such as a laptop, sunglasses and a hoodie. How does the accused go about requesting those items back? He is currently out on bail awaiting his arraignment next month.
