My question involves paternity law for the State of: New Jersey
I submitted an Affidavit of Denial of Paternity to the NJ Divison of Child Protection & Permanency in March 2016 at their request. In their request letter, they stated I would be removed from all documents listing me as the suspected father.
I just received a summons to appear for a paternity/child support hearing. The affidavit is attached to the summons packet.
What was the purpose of the affidavit ?
