Grounds for Eviction: Paying Rent On-Time but Landlord Asking to Leave for Other Problems

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: New Jersey

I am paying my monthly rent on-time however i am facing some other problems with my landlord. Our landlord has rented one apartment above me with a higher rent to some people that are constantly making noise. I called cops several times but every time cops came they didn't do much except to talk with tenants living above me to keep quiet. I was told by cops that my landlord should fix this issue rather than me calling them. The problem is that my landlord wants me to leave this building just because he thinks that my rent is very low compared to other tenants and he does not want to solve my problem by talking to tenants above me. So one day i decided to go on roof and started jumping guess what the tenants above me couldn't take it and then they complained to my landlord. Now my landlord is threatening me that he will take me to court because i do cannot go to roof. I told him that each time i called him (landlord) to complain about the issue, you just told me that you cannot do anything and you always advised me to call cops. But cops couldn't do much and you being the landlord should fix this issue. Today i had very big argument with him and i am 100 % sure he will take me to court. But can he evict me ? I am paying my rent on-time and never had any problems except the noise issue that i am having from tenants living above me. It seems that my landlord really don't care about me and it's just he wants me to suffer until i get tired on my own and leave the building. I would sincerely appreciate any advice on how to tackle this type of problem ?
