My question involves criminal records for the state of: Missouri (First and only time offender)
I would love to be a police officer in Saint Louis City, or County, and I know I could do it well. Once upon a time I was in the military, got out went to college and majorly screwed up when I was desperate and had no money, or a job in 2011. I stole a felony amount of groceries and two window a.c units from a local Walmart. I got caught, arrested and jailed for three months. Since then I have served my SIS probation, got off early on good behavior. I never re-offended and am currently a Public Safety Officer (private security) with 78 credit hours to my name. What I want to know is do I have a chance of being considered at any police department, or am I wasting my time dreaming of what can not be? All I want is an honest answer, and not the usual "I don't know", or "Just apply and find out."
