Auto Insurance: At-Fault Car Insurance Wants to Pay Unfair Amount for My Car Damages

My question involves a car accident that occurred in the state of: Oklahoma. I was rear ended by someone, and I made a claim with his insurance about 3 weeks ago. Now, the insurance called me and said that my car was totaled, and that it’s market value is $3,700, but the estimate of the damages were over $6,500. The insurance wants to only pay me the value of the car, which is way less than what we paid for it a year ago when we bought it ($5,500). I think this is an unfair amount, since the damages are a lot more. They also don’t want to pay all the weeks that I was without a car, “because it’s totaled”. I just want to see what advice anyone could give me about what to do regarding this.
