My question involves business law in the state of: California
I have done quite a bit of research on this question and even called the county clerk, and I was not able to get a 100% clear answer on this issue. Maybe it varies by county, but any information or experience any one could contribute would be very much appreciated.
I will use two examples to clarify my question:
John & Jane Doe start a general partnership under the name "JJ Towing". It is my understanding that they are required to file a FBN form with the county clerks office, and there is also a publishing requirement. Is this correct?
Now, if John & Jane Doe start a general partnership and use the name "John & Jane Doe Partnership" or even just "John & Jane Doe", are they required to file a FBN form with the county clerk, and also required to do the publishing requirement?
I thank you very much in advance for any information you can contribute on this matter!
