My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Texas. I posted a specialized folding boat for RVs on Craigslist. I was contacted by a gentleman out of state, who said he was going to be driving through San Antonio on a RV trip and he would like to pick up the boat. He said he would be driving through in the next 3 to 4 weeks. Since we were going to be moving in about the next 6 months I told him I needed to sell the boat quickly, which is why it was so cheap and I'm unable to hold it. He told me he would pay for it in advance if I can hold onto it until he picked it up on his trip in 4 weeks. I agreed and that would also give time for any payment he had to clear to make sure it was not a scam. He provided me a phone number and an email address. The payment cleared fine. However the problem is it has been over 6 months and no one has heard from him. We have left a ton of messages on his phone, and email. He has all my current contact information but has yet to contact me, and now we are at a point we are moving in the next month. I can't take the boat with me, I'm not paying for storage, and the title still in my name since he never showed up. I have interested parties that would be willing to purchase it immediately. Can I resell it? I won't have possession of it one way or another in a month since I can't take it.
