My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: CA.
Questions:
1. Is the contract unconscionable ?
2. Would you dispute the charge with the credit card company?
I am in Los Angeles. I went to a match making service provider who charged me $600 to introduce me to 5 girls over a span of 5 or 6 months. I work a busy job and don't come across high income single ladies often. I signed a contract with a clause saying I can't get a refund whatsoever.
I am a fair person so I want to post the question here. Is that no refund clause unconscionable ?
The matchmaker has introduced me to 2 ladies but OMG, I had never come across these people with these calibers not even on free dating websites. The matchmaker hyped up her quality of girls and her service.
I decided after 2 ladies, I wanted to fire her. I called her and offered to keep $300. But she said no refund.
I paid the service with credit card and I am well within 60 days period. Before I wanted to dispute with credit card company, I wanted to know if I can fire the matchmaker.
