Garnishment and Execution: Collecting a Wage Garnishemet Action from an Independent Contractor

My question involves court procedures for the state of: Florida

i was awarded a small claims judgement by the small claims court judge.

When i call the levying officer's office in Lee Country, I was told that they could not handle my writ for wage garnishment because the defendant works as an independent contractor in the home care field for a local home care agency.

Any advice on how to cllect a small claims judgement from an independent contractor would be greatly appreciated!
