My question involves real estate located in the State of: California
My community has a HOA that seems to be run by the same group of people for the past 10 years or more.
Annual meetings where the board of directors should be elected are not held. Minutes of directors meetings are not kept.
homeowners have become unwilling to pay annual dues because nothing gets done. The board is responsible for easement insurance and road mantainence among other things.
Lately there is a push by these board members to repave the roads, which hasnt been done in years.
The notice about the road renovation contained certain details that appeared to need one or more permits from local goverment.
This was not looked into by the board and when a concerned member did the investigating he was severly criticized for causing additional "expense"
This board was termed out long ago yet without annual meetings we have no way to organize and replace them. Any ideas on what to do?
