My question is, is this a regular traffic ticket, pay and close ? Why does it say that I have to provide proof of correction listed, and those $25 involved ? The cop only asked for my driver license, did not ask for insurance. My driver license and insurance were valid and current.

Vehicle registration violations: provide proof of current registration
Mechanical corrects: correct the defect and take your citation to a local law enforcement inspection station. Note, if the inspection station uses a red stamp, do not mail the proof, you must bring to the court
