Runaways: Flying to Florida the Day Before I'm 18

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: coming from Texas to Florida.
LONG STORY, SUMMARY AT BOTTOM

Hiya! Here's a backstory. I've been in close contact with a group of friends for almost five years now, we've all grown really attached to eachother, and two years ago, we made a plan to meet up. I was only 16, but I told my parents about this plan immediately because I wanted to have the best chances to go.

Two years has passed, and we decided to do the trip this year in the summer around my 18th birthday, and another member's birthday. I have reminded my parents time and time again about this trip, and they never thought about it seriously. Now that it's on their ass, they're wondering why it has to be RIGHT now WHY I'm in a hurry and all sorts of things they could have asked a long time ago.

I'm not in a hurry. I think my parent (mother) is only feeling this way because, even though I told her two years ago, she's only JUST now taking it seriously. It's also probably because I'll be 18 and "flying the nest" immediately at the minimum legal age and she just wants to hold onto me.

Anyways, the issue comes in where my friends were originally going to road trip all the way to Texas from the east coast because, hey, road trip, I'm meeting them for the first time, it's fun. Well, cars are no longer an option due to their personal life problems and a bad transmission. So, now we're looking at flights. I was going to fly the DAY OF my 18th birthday, but my mother (who has many "excusable" reasons) just won't get up and take me into town to get a photo ID. (Don't have a driver's licence, class costed too much for my poor family) I have the money for a permanent ID! All I need is a ride and some time in the office to get my documents all done. If I don't get an ID before my birthday, I can't get on the plane. (Takes about 10 business days for it to be mailed)

So, because of this ID situation, I tried to make it easier for my mother. I told her I can get on the plane WITHOUT an ID if I'm under 18. And now she's pulling a lot of excuses out and even straight up said, "You're not going unless they come and get you by car so I can meet them."

That's not doable. It's a 28 hour drive from Florida to where I am in Texas. I'm not gonna even try to force my friends to screw up the one working car we all have between us. That's selfish.

IMPORTANT sidenote: The trip has now been reduced to JUST me and the other person with a birthday. This is only half important to me, because either way I'd still be in the same situation trying to get there. Technically, I'm trying to stay and live with this person for about a month now because I'm sheltered and would like to get real world experience. My friend has open arms and has actually said they would LOVE if I come stay with them for a while. They have no problem with me coming to live with them.

PROBLEM:
My mother is trying to stop me from going on a trip to Florida with my friend, only 12 hours short of it being my 18th birthday. The flight needs to be before my birthday because I'm dependent on my mother and she won't take me to get an ID. The flight would arrive in Florida at 5PM I believe, meaning she would have 7 hours to try to file a runaway report. I've read that the police probably won't even take the report because of my age and they really just can't be bothered, but I'm asking all this because I don't want my friend to get into trouble for harboring me if I'm filed as a runaway, and I don't want my aunt (not bloodly related, but my mother's best friend since they were my age) to get in trouble for taking me to the airport since that's the only way I'd get there.
