Pulled Over in Georgia and Charged Driving with Suspended License

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Georgia, Liberty County

Hello thanks for the help in advance. I was traveling from Florida to Georgia and was pulled over and given a court date for driving with suspended license. The officer claims I ran a traffic checkpoint and that was his reason for pulling me over. Now the car I was driving was not registered in my name so he couldn't have ran plates and saw my license was suspended. Now this proclaimed traffic checkpoint was conducted around 11pm-12am at night. Now I did see a car pulled over, but I to assume their is a traffic checkpoint with no officer in the middle of the road. He claims I almost hit him and he tried to flag me down, but if that was the case why was he so polite, calm, and I didnt go to jail? I am trying to find out the proper policy for traffic checkpoint, because I feel it wasnt conducted properly therefore negating the ticket. There was a potential of one officer conducting a traffic checkpoint for both sides of the road in the pitch black dark of night. From what i read there are suppose to be a minimum of 4 officers two which have to be troopers wearing reflective vest. Now if this is the case it definitely wasnt done right.

PS. My license was suspended for for unpaid ticket which i had paid but they said i hadn't paid the reinstatement fee which i have done since.
