My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Virginia
My mother currently has custody of my 4 year old daughter, the custody trial is on Friday, July 13th 2018 in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She fled to Michigan last month and obviously has no intention of showing so custody will be defaulted to me. But what will happen when she refuses to return my child? More importantly, how will I get my child back? What happens next? Is it kidnapping since she isn't a parent? Or is it a civil matter? HELP!!
