I filed a quiet title suit to clear title from the people I bought property from in a land contract. One month later, the mortgage company filed a foreclosure suit in a separate case and have not answered my quiet title case. They have known every step I have been taking and was aware of my plan to file for QT. It named them as interested party but not trying to squash the mortgage. In their suit they do not inform the courts that they have been served with QT papers or that they are aware of my Contract For Deed which they have on file. Can they do this legally? Shouldn't they have answered my petition instead? What should I do or can I do? I have 30 days to put in my answer to their petition.
