My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York
I have a friend who is going to be released from prison shortly after serving several months for drug related crimes. None of the crimes were DUI related. I believe that the felony crimes were reduced to misdemeanors. He will be on probation for 5 years. He has never had a NY driver's license. I was wondering if: 1) he will be able to get a NYS driver's license and 2) when he tries to get a job will he have to answer questions about this history and can prospective employers find this info?
Thanks
