My question involves defamation in the state of: California
For eight years I have seen this dentist. Nice woman, nice staff. Have referred friends and family to her=. But in the past two years she has made mistakes too many times. Few fillings falling out, three crowns came off, decay overlooked on X-rays necessitating me to have an extraction. I've changed dentists but haven't told the friends and my family. They still go to her.
The new dentists I interviewed agree that decay was obvious for over a year and should not have been overlooked. They all state I need extraction removal and an implant.
What should I do or say to the people to whom I referred to my now former dentist? Don't want to be sued for defamation, but it seems wrong to be silent.
Should I ask my former female dentist to pay for tooth removal and an implant, since overlooking decay for more than a year made this recommended removal and implant necessary?
