My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Georgia
When my ex husband signed my car title over to me per our divorce, he included his girlfriends initials (I'm sure it's due to the fact he was having an affair and I found out). I tried to take it to the DMV to transfer, but they could not authenticate his signature. To keep costs down, I contacted him to figure this out and his solution was to apply for a new title. When I received the new title, he failed to sign the back. So, I go to the DMV, taking my final judgment awarding the car in the divorce, they tell me that because his signature can't be authenticated and now there's duplicate titles, that the title is rendered worthless. Is there anything I can do?
