I mailed information regarding SSI fraud to the SSI fraud hotline in Maryland two weeks ago. The person I reported was working under his real name and a fake social security number while collecting disability. I sent a picture of one of his checks and stubs which were from 2015, pictures of him on social media in the trucks of the company he was working for and all the other information they need including his phone number real social security number, his birth date and actual address. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to investigate this? It’s pretty much an open and shut case.
