Long story short. I lived next to an oil refinery that exploded in the middle of the night when I was 6. House was badly damaged. Blast scared the crap out of me. We had to leave in the middle of the night. Parents settled class-action, and I received a trust fund (around 7k) for my pain and suffering.
I’m now 36. I’ve suffered from anxiety and other issues for as long as I can remember. Shrink thinks it could be long-term PTSD from that night.
I’m assuming there’s nothing I can do legally for this since my parents settled this case for me. I was never evaluated by anyone after the explosion.
