I am looking to sell over a truck that has not been registered in my name, but has been sold to me in my name on a bill of sale. Original owner has also signed the back of the title over to me, but I do not have a title in my name. Can I sign over this truck with a title that is not in my name, but with proof that it has already been sold to me? Right now the car is worth less than it costs to register it, so I had no reason to register it... but the buyer wants me to sign over the title.
