Can I Force Him to Get a Paternity Test and Pay Child Support if I Am Not American

I am french born and raised and had a one night stand with a dual American/Canadian citizen in Amsterdam, that is when I got pregnant. I am 4 months pregnant. He is denying that he is the father. Could I hire a lawyer in the US to go after him in a paternity suit? Does it matter if me and my unborn child live in france and will continue to live in france?
