My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Nevada
Hello,
I recently purchased a home is Henderson, NV. House was inspected and I have a copy of the inspection report. A couple minor issues I wanted taken care of prior to purchasing were completed before I signed for the house. While moving in I noticed the air coming out of the registers was not cold enough and the temperature never met the thermostat setpoint. After calling an HVAC contractor, they determined that my system had a leak in it. The inspection report declares the air coming from the registers was a to the proper specifications. Most likely what happened was that the system was charged prior to the previous owner moving out knowing that there was a leak there.
My question is, what can I do hold the previous owner accountable? I did unfortunately not purchase a home warranty.
Thanks
