My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: North Carolina
My husband was driving and went down a road it had a road closed sign on the side of the road in the grass laying down then another one in the grass standing up once again not in the road. He and about 10 other cars passed them not thinking the road was closed since the signs were not in the road once they passed the second sign a state trooper pulled all the cars over and wrote them tickets for driving on a closed highway. My husband even asked him about the signs being on the side of the road and all the cop said was oh people keep moving them. Should we contest it? I feel like the trooper should have been at the top of the road directing traffic not waiting way down the road passed two incorrectly placed signs.
