Speeding Tickets: Defending LIDAR Speeding Tickets

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of TX
I recently was ticketed for speeding (50 on 35). I conveyed my doubt regarding the LiDAR calibration to the officer and the Officer smirked at me and said that he had calibrated it before the start of the shift.

I decided to take the Trial and I just received responses to my discovery process. The LiDAR was certified 1.5 years prior to the day I got my ticket with the last certification being 1 week AFTER I received my ticket.

I checked the manufacturers operator manual and it does not say the frequency within which it needs to be certified again and I don't know if laws in TX require it to be calibrated .

My question to experts here is whether:

- Could I use the fact that the LiDAR was sent for certification 1 week after I received my ticket as sufficient reason to believe that the LiDAR device was indeed showing some false reading that it required them to send it for calibration/certificate to the manufacturer.
- Could it just be a coincidence that the LiDAR was sent for recertification 1 week after I got my ticket ?
- Would the calibration report indicate whether anything was wrong ?

What other information should I request if I pursued in the path of a defective LiDAR ?
