Basically according to this, the driver is absolved of being responsible for the speed and control of their vehicle and henceforth absolved if hitting a child that pops out from between parallel parked vehicles in accordance with what was discussed and described as to the interaction between an unforeseen obstacle and driver awareness in connection with placing fault on someone opening their door to traffic.
Just wanted to clarify that this does mean that you can't be held accountable if a child is in motion and crosses the threshold into traffic from between two parked vehicles much like a door opened into the same traffic are the same circumstance... since parents should be in control of their children much like the door should be in control of the operator...
We don't hold drivers as responsible for controlling their vehicles in the given surroundings...especially if the child pops out of the back door and is the object being struck...
