Boundary Agreements: Is a Map Submitted with a Title Legal in Ky

My question involves real estate located in the State of: Kentucky, Magoffin County
We recently purchased a 46 acre property, we met the owner of the neighboring property and he showed us what he says is the property line. Well, we want to be designated as a farm so we had to supply the farm bureau a map from the PVA to show boundaries(what we pay taxes on) The boundaries they are going by do not match what the owner had pointed out. If we go by what the neighbor is say we have less than 20 acres. We did some more research and found a map of the boundaries attached to a old deed of the property, there were 2 brothers that split a 100 acre farm and when it was split, they submitted this map to show the line, this was in 2003, so all taxes being paid for our place has been based on their map they submitted. There are descriptions in the deed also but are very vague as to specifics. There were no questions when just the brothers owned both properties. We also had our title company go back and verify that no other changes to the property have been done since the 2003 deed. And that stated 50 acres more or less. ANd they did not dispute the outside boundaries when they filed the deed. So my question is this map a valid map for the boundaries? Any help would be appreciated.
