My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: If my employer has a written policy that says you must give two week notice or you won't be eligible for rehire and then I give two week notice but they decide to let me go before the end of the notice period do they still have to pay me for the notice period? In my mind that constitures a contract but I'm not an attorney asking for clarity.
