My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: California (Los Angeles).
I goofed up and got a FTA. My fault. I set for an arraignment date Aug 6. I get a letter a few weeks later saying my license is suspended effective Aug 1. I need to work Aug 1 to Aug 6 so is this a feasible plan?:
I pay online the ~900$ bail/citation (originally a 25$ fixit ticket) to clear my warrant/citation prior to Aug 1 just so my license is NOT suspended (hope that's how it works). Hopefully I still get my arraignment date and it's not waived and I appear in front of judge to rectify situation and get let off with a smaller fine (25-100 or maybe under 200; happy with anything to be honest) and somehow get refunded the difference.
The main point of getting my arraignment date was to get the fine reduced. I did not know the scheduling would get me a suspension but now I learned. Will the refunded difference aspect work? Pasadena Court, which I cannot find a real number to call and ask, if that matters.
Thanks!
