My question involves business law in the state of: CA
A few months ago, I was sent a contract that was, supposedly, from a business claiming that they wanted to contract me for business. This is a very well known business in my industry.
I have since found out that this contract was a forgery, and the woman behind said forgery is a convicted felon who is currently wanted for identity theft in another state.
How do I go about alerting the business that I have a forged contract? I want to make clear that I don't want money from this business -- this business has been victimized just as much as I have been by this woman, and I don't think it's fair that the victimized business be required to pay me anything. I just need to let the business know that this is what's going on so they can pursue remedies against the woman, if they want to.
