My question involves child support in the State of: NJ
can child support be stopped/modified/or redirected to the adult child (21 1/2 yrs old) if the custodial parent moved 4 hours away 1 and 1/2 years ago leaving the child to find a place of her own as she is attending college and did not move with the parent? Her other parent is in NJ and the child/ and other parent are both in SC....the adult child attends college and works. The child support is not through the court system, and is still being paid. Considering just stopping it and paying the child directly and see if the receiving parent takes him to court - what are chances of winning if it does go to court?
