Debt Collectors: Debt Collectors Identifying Themselves

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Georgia

I received a voice mail on my work cell phone regarding our company's past due Comcast bill. When I called the number back, I asked what company I'd called. The person replied that they were calling regarding a bill. I said I didn't ask that, I wanted to know who I'd called. The person said it was regarding our Comcast bill. I again asked what COMPANY I HAD CALLED. The person stated that they were Sage.

I was then transferred. I again asked that person what company I was speaking with. She replied it that they were working on our outstanding Comcast account. Repeat x2. I finally asked flat out if they are a debt collector. She said yes. I asked if she was required to disclose this when asked, and she said that she DID disclose they were calling to collect a debt.

Whatever.

I have nothing to do with my company's internet provider or paying our bills. I have no idea how they got my name or my cell phone number. This call combined two of my least favorite things in the world - debt collectors and Comcast, so I'm a little peeved at the moment.

So my question - did they violate Fair Debt collection practices, or did they properly identify themselves as required?
