My question involves real estate located in the State of: Oklahoma
I rented a home on 5 acres & the landlady said since i lived there so long I could use my rent of the past years as a down-payment. It was a for sale by owner with a purchase agreement. This was in 2000 in 2010 I owed a balance of 1200.00. The lady I bought it from said at Christmas time "Being the good christian woman that I am,I will forgive the 1200.00" she never gave me anything in writing that it was paid off. Long story short I rented a different home from her in 2013. She sold I moved before the 30 days. I gave her the pro rated amount of days I was there. Well this made the christian woman very mad. She told me since I didn't pay the full rent amount I now owed the 1200.00 that she forgave!!! I received threatening letters in the mail which I have along with a SIM card with at least 30 threatening calls. They states she will take me to court. She said she is putting a lean against my property for the amount. Here it is 2018 & I am wanting to build a home on my 5 acres. After this info I gave my question is my name is on the deed & property taxes which I have a notarized copy along with taxes being paid for the last 18 years. Can she leagally take my property from me for the 1200.0 she stated i owe again?
