My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Indiana
My elder sister has made me one of her Health Care Representatives, General Power of Attorney, Health Care Power of Attorney and Executrix. Her husband, my other sister and myself are all on them as equal decision makers/gpoa/and Executor/Executrixs. She has lost her copy of the documents and her husband refuses to give her or my sister or myself copies.
How can we get copies of these documents? Can we call the attorney that prepared them and request copies? He refuses to let her call the attorney. He is quite verbally and mentally abusive to her. We want to make sure that if the time comes, we can tell the doctors and/or hospital that we have as much right in the decision making as he does.
