My question involves a child Support case in Florida. My child is of legal age as of 2013 but did not graduate until June 2014 so therefore Florida charged me current support until her 19th birthday. But Florida department of revenue emancipated her on her 18th birthday June 2013 .How can Brevard county court which is where the child support case is through charge me current support until my child's 19th birthday when Florida Department of revenue considered her emancipated at the age of 18 ? Also there is a disagreement between Brevard County court and myself as to how much arrears are still owed because what Brevard county says the amount is, is $4000 more than what Florida Department of revenue says the amount is . I've been working for year and a half trying to get to the bottom of this, I'm having no luck. Also during my investigation I have found out that the original case number that was given to me on the final judgment of my divorce was later changed to a different case number and I was never notified of this. When I look up the original case number it brings up another party's name and shows zero amount of child support owed. when I bring up the number they changed it to , it shows arrears still being owed is this common for court to change a case number ?
