Auto Insurance: Uninsured Driver Hit by Insured Driver

My question involves insurance law for the state of: Michigan

Okay, so this past Friday I went up the the street to go to the store. I recently allowed my car insurance to lapse to due to several reasons but I normally don't drive without it. On my way home, literally one block away from my house, I was hit by a driver who ran a stop sign. She hit my driver side door, and I had a mild shoulder injury and went to the hospital shortly after. She admitted total fault of the accident, as she was arguing with her boyfriend at the time of the accident. smh She has no fault insurance.

The crazy thing is, she lives on the same street as me, and speed though a stop sign 100 feet from her house.

My question is, can I get any compensation at all??? I know Michigan is very strict on uninsured drivers. But she admitted fault, and also the police recorded the accident. What can I do in this situation? Should I sue?

Thanks for the help in advance.
