Other Offenses: Grounds to Toss Out a Conffession

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Oregon
My brother confessed to a forgery charged, only because his S.O told him if he didn't tell the police what his part in the crime was, S.O was done with him, and he could go back to the streets where S.O found him.... In the police report it clearly states, my brother was willing to talk while S.O was present, however the report continues on saying once S.O leaves my brother didn't say another word concerning the crime. Officer say's he told brother how a written statement would go a long way with the DA and he should explain what happened, the officer say's later in report that brother on two papers wrote a few thing regarding how the other person was the one who committed said forgery, but nothing about his involvement, and no other verbal omission after S.O left...

Is it possible to get confession tossed out since brother was threatened, coerced? Or does that only apply if it's coercion by the police?
