Right of Publicity: Can I Quote from an Email

I have been conversing with an individual/entity and I quoted what they said to me via email/phone in an article.

They're not happy. They said there was an expectation of privacy.

I didn't publish their email, but I did verbatim quote them and tied their and to said quote.

Am I legally fine?
