What fees are the dealership allowed to tack on to the purchase price option of a lease?
I went into the dealership that originated the lease in order to purchase the vehicle and even though they charged a $495 dealership fee at the origination of the lease they want to add another $495 dealership fee in order for me to purchase the vehicle. They also have a $255 doc prep fee and a $235 tag processing fee? Why would I pay for tag processing when my tag is already registered and physically on the vehicle I am buying? All of these fees bumped my purchase price up by nearly $1000 more then I had in mind.
