My question involves personal finance in the State of: NY
I turned all my financial tax statements over to my accountant seven weeks ago. He is self-employed and works out of a home office. When he is done and has filed my return, he mails them back to me with the tax forms he submitted. So far I have not heard anything from him which is an unusually long time. When I try to call, I just get his answering machine. I tried emailing him twice and only get what seems to be an automated response message: "Please be patient as we are working hard to accommodate all clients."
The tax deadline is only a few days away. What should I do?
