My question involves real estate located in the State of: MI
My husband bought our home with his VA Loan benefits. I am on the Deed but not the mortgage. We have lived in the home for 4 years.
My husband died suddenly last year. He did not have a Will.
I have been making the payments on time with my Social Security and everything is up to date and current.
My question is, would I be able to sell the house? If so, how would I go about it. Should I have my husband's name taken off the Deed and then proceed to sell the house? Would I need to go through something called 'probate'? Never bought or sold a house before this and have no clue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
