Payment: Help

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Colorado I built a garage for a customer in September and upon completion of the project I've been trying to get my money ever since still haven't received a dime garages built and on their place finished my part the customer sent me a text message the other day saying that he didn't tell me to build the garage so he's not going to pay me any money and how dare me but he gave me the upfront money he set up an account at the local lumber yard for me to buy materials in my name I purchased all materials myself with champagn I purchased all materials myself with him paying for the account with a credit card over the phone the company delivered all the materials to site which I installed and now he tells me he didn't tell me to do that so he's not going to pay how do I go about getting my money legally do I have to sho my money legally do I have to sue or put a lien on the property
